When my daughter first started timpani, her teacher told her that her sticks always needed to be vertical so she was in position to play the next notes. “Bring your sticks back to playing position.”
How true that is for life, isn’t it?
Every time we don’t put things away, we have to deal with it later instead of moving on to what is next.
If I don’t clean up after cooking, that just leaves the task to be done later, before I cook again.
If I don’t put my papers in some semblance before I leave the office, I have to do it before I start work the next day.
Gotta come back to playing position.
