Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. I like the coolness, the smell of decaying leaves on the air, and the quality of the light. I love camping in the fall because it gets me right out into it.
We are lucky that our camping season here extends for so long. It is warm enough to go in March, and the weather holds until the end of November.
We did our last camping trip for the year, heading inland to our favorite campground. The weather was cool enough that sleeping was comfortable, and the campfire was nice to be near. The days were warm enough, too, that it was a pleasure to sit by the lake.
Now the camper has been cleaned up and is waiting patiently for the spring. And I look forward to another season of camping.
