Another Project Finished

/> Along with the painting, my next task to finish off this project was to do the window treatments. I received (by request) a new sewing machine for the holidays, and I put it to work making these valances. It’s amazing how much this jazzes up the room!

Using Color

It always amazes me when I get paint on the walls. We’ve been in the house for a while, and we’re slowly replacing the builder’s white with our own colors. While the color for the master suite has been picked out for almost two years, we just got around to painting it this week.

A Little Bit of December Fun

I don’t, as a general thing, play games on the computer. Firstly, I am terribly uncoordinated. Secondly, I don’t see the point of wasting my time.

Repelling Telemarketers

I will let you in on a secret. For a brief period, about 2 weeks, I was a telemarketer. It was my first summer on my own, after my third year in college, and I was desperate. I was also awful at it. I left after two weeks, and got a job temping. So I [...]

Back in the Saddle Again

I’ve taken a couple of weeks off from writing lately, mainly because the experience of NaNoWriMo, while thrilling, also left me utterly drained. (I won, by the way, producing a 50,000 word novel in 29 days.)
I’ve been kind of flitting from place to place in my off time. I’m not really motivated to read or [...]
