Personal Holidays

I am intrigued by an article that I recently read about creating my own set of holidays.
After all, what are holidays other than a date that a group of people have agreed to set aside to celebrate something? I’m not aware of any rule that says that holidays have to be “official” in order to [...]

This one really burns me up. I heard on the news that the defense team for an infamous criminal was planning on using the bad childhood defense. You know the defense I mean…where the defendants gets to claim that they aren’t responsible for their actions because they were abused as children.

Title: Crocodile on the Sandbank
Author: Elizabeth Peters

Cinderella Stories

We rented Cinderella this weekend for the younger crowd’s part of family movie night. I had never seen the film before, and watched it with interest. It didn’t have anything I wasn’t expecting: a girl, forced into subjugation by her wicked stepmother, is given a magical evening by her fairy godmother.
The thing that caught my [...]
